I think I would like a bit more info before committing $2000 to these! ;) They do look interesting though, and very Russian!

Never, but it might to be very, very good. All knows Russian binoculars are very good (generally). In the other side, I think it's a crazy to ask this amount for it.. Read the text of seller (he don't know about binos). He says spare o repair.. it can be a piece of junk...πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

They are definitely Russian as seen by the marks 3OM3 = ZOMZ or Zagorsk Optical and Mechenical Plant.

The funny little logo also fits with it being produced by ZOMZ.

Other than that i know nothing about them.  $2000 seams a bit crazy shocked.gif

I found an Italian web-page doing a review.

The eBay seller knows nothing about them and is selling them for parts or repair but is asking $3000? Doesn’t add up to me.

Interesting item for rich collectors. I read the translated review by binomania, these suffer the usual yellow tint of many other Soviet binoculars, optimized for terrestrial daytime one could euphemistically state I guess. From a performance standpoint one "questions the value proposition" at this price point, to put it politely, *cough* *cough*, with the modern Chinese ED glass offerings from such vendors as APM being.... radically more desirable and for less money.

Maybe and maybe not,I picked up a pair of 8x30 Russian porros a couple of years ago made in  the Komz factory or so it seemed, spiting image with all the markings etc, even the identical  box, turned out to be a China made knock off , now I also found out that the Komz factory at one time had some of their stuff made offshore, so was it an offshore Komz product or another factories counterfeit copy?, never did find out, anyway at three grand US its a some one looking to get rich quick rip off even if genuine,D.

This is a sub standard product, I may consider if seller ask for $200.
