I was looking to image something that we haven't seen a million times, although I never thought I'd spend 4 hours on a group of stars that look like a coat hanger.

I like it. I've never seen an image of the Coathanger posted at Cloudy Nights before. I didn't realize that two of the brighter hanger stars are orange-red. Thanks for posting.

Great target ! Seems like an old friend to me
You can spot it in the sky with naked eyes and i love this field and the surrounding !
I think your stars colors are better.

this is a really nice image of the coathanger - Collinder 399. You can get some really nice dark stuff even from the city. I've spent a lot of time imaging barnards.
