I just got a super super clean SP-C8 when I popped off orange cap over collimating screws a little paper sticker with numbers on it was there the numbers are “289102” can anyone tell me more based on this information?
Also the tripod is a beefy wooden one very well made any info?

Not on a paper sticker, but on a metal plate just underneath said orange cap, there should be a 6-digit number starting with an 8

The remaining digits would be the serial number, which by the way can be reported on CN member Masvingo's SN compilation in the equivalent thread.

Cool will take a look again when around scope also the
Control box vixen DMD-1 the battery Cord is broken anyone know where I can get replacement cord and battery holder I read that the DMD-3 had a AC adapter plug by Sony this scope has been a office then house decoration From day one when ever that was? Got it for $200 bucks and quick welding repair to guys fence!!!! It’s been outside once when he retired and bought it home his wife thank me she was tried of vacuuming around it.lol

My Super Polaris C-8, serial number 825194, was purchased in November of 1984.

Ok not sure where the little piece of paper came from
Maybe mount or something
The SN#s is 841533 so maybe later 80s???
So it’s not a smart serial number it’s just telescope
41533??? No information in the numbers

Nope. The 8 is for C8. The rest IS the serial number.

Please post these serial numbers on Masvingo's thread.
