Another happy client in the USA with an array of bespoke scopes and a stunning Delta Pod made by Mr Craftsman Paul Cruickshank-Inns and my good for nothing self. Oh to have clear skies...........

Cheers, Mark.

I don’t know... those two gorgeous scopes on the rolling piers look like they are ready to go to work. Stunning!

The older I get the more I value beauty and elegance in everything from art to equations to industrial design, to writing, etc., etc., etc.

If I had those skies and that view I’d want one too – you bet!

Well done!

Bob

Cheers for the comments guys and thanks for the support we appreciate it.

Just a quick thought.......

There was a book written in 1856 of which I have a copy {from my interior designer days} called "The Grammar of Ornament" by Owen Jones. Essentially, as outlined by this weighty tome, you can make things beautiful as well as functional, one does not mitigate the other. From houses, to cars, to clothes to shoes, planes, ships,in fact most purchasing decisions, esthetics come in to play and we all make different choices. Now, you can't please everyone, as the song goes, so ya gotta please yourself..........Beauty and functionality can go hand in hand.......IMHO.... I call my first witness me Lord..... the humble sextant.....smash.gif    Order, Order.......

No direct comparison is intended between the creation of my telescopes and the stratospheric beauty of this sextant......love.gif

Hello Mark

Have you ever considered to build an 150mm Binocular (twin) telescope with premium (APM LZOS) optics and EMS erecting mirror system?

This is like a little brother to the main scope in this topic, but is going to a different client in NY state, a nice house/mansion on cliffs overlooking the ocean....... One day, maybe, if I work hard enough I too can have a mansion on the ocean....Naaaaa....... too lazy :o) Too much house work...Oh!! Staff........Nope, that involves management, can't be doing that. Think I'll stick to a shed at the bottom of the garden........
