Here are a few from the past couple of nights. The seeing was pretty decent for the most part, however it could get wobbly at times due to Jupiter and Saturn's low elevation (max 28 degrees). I used a Questar 3.5 with a ZWO 178MM camera relegated to the green filter because it provided the highest contrast. The mount was a Questar tri-stand.

Temps were in the mid 70's, humidity high on Aug 3rd, but not too bad (63%) on Aug 4th. Transparency was mediocre. The biggest obstacle was the bugs. Main reason I packed up early tonight.

These look a little noisy on my laptop, but not as bad on the ipad because of the smaller screen.

As always, thanks for taking the time to stop by and have a look at my images!

Great Captures-Terry!!!  Our Monsoon season  isn't letting any sky through the clouds!  I'm getting antsy.

Hi Terry,

Great images.  Were they taken at prime focus of your Questar or did you also use a barlow?

Thanks,

John

Wow, thanks everybody!! Very much appreciated! I've been out of the loop dealing with some ongoing family issues, so only on here sporadically. Thank you all for taking the time out of your day/night to spur me on with your encouraging words!! I'll keep at it!

Beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing all of these wonderful photographs. I continue to be amazed both by what we can see through these beautiful instruments as well as what we can photograph with them.

Terry, I used an ASI120MM. I then stacked with Autostakkert and finished in Photoshop.
