What do you all use for storing and transporting your small refractors?

I've got an AT60ED coming in the mail and want to get some sort of case or bag for it. Something that I can store it in and protect it on the way to imaging/observing sites. Carry-on compatible is a plus, but not a requirement.

Questions I have:

Imaging: Do you have a case that holds all of your imaging gear (camera/sensor, filters, adapters etc), or separate cases/bags?

-for instance, I already have a camera bag for my DSLR, but would it be cooler to get something that held the telescope AND camera?

Visual: Same as imaging, but visual stuff (eyepieces, right angles, filters etc). Same or separate cases?

Post pics if you got'em!

See whether your new OTA will fit into one of the Apache cases sold by Harbor Freight.  I think they are going on sale this weekend?

They are always relatively inexpensive and when they are on sale it is a ridiculously good deal compared to the others.

I have three different sizes of these and have no complaints. They are on sale at times so checkout their web page.

Yep, Apache case for me.  Holds my AT60ED, field flattener, diagonal and some eyepieces.

Haha! I just clipped a harbor freight coupon earlier today incase everyone here suggested the apache cases. What size would you recommend for a 60mm f/6, field flattener, adapters and filter(s). I can measure it out to estimate, but curious what is common.

My carry-on 60mm f/10 refractor visual kit.

I use a Monoprice case. Interior dimensions are about the same as the Apache 5800, but exterior dimensions are slightly smaller since it doesn’t have rolling wheels or a suitcase handle.

I have a Apache 3800 for my At72EDII and a Apache 5800 for a Coronado Solarmax II 60 DS. I would of bought a couple of the 4800 cases but I checked every one of the 4800 cases in our Harbor Freight store and none of the latches would stay up -on their own. Made it very hard to open- when the latches were always dropping down. I have all the other size cases and there are no problems with any of the latches. I think they are a great deal- instead of Pelican cases(I do own a few Pelican cases).

I use this one, which can fly as "under seat" luggage

https://www.manfrott...-mb-pl-cc-191n/

and here put my whole "telescope" plus DSLR and acccessories (visual and photographic ones; in the pic you could see the DSLR, the stardiagonal and eyepieces, parts of the mount, and the refractor's accessories; the refractor itself lies under the camera, protected by a padded divider, while the tripod legs are under the padded bottom)

The bag is rigid, padded, and has flexible dividers, so iI set them according to my current needs.

There is something so satisfying about looking at all these pictures.

Toddeo, what is that scope in the middle picture? I can't make out what size it is.

Jeff seeing your AT60 in there makes it seem like a good fit.

That's a 80mm triplet(AT80EDT).  I just cut another layer out so my AT72EDII(photos below) sits a little lower-for protection.

slightly off topic. Do you use the field flattener when you do visual with it? Or are you doing imaging as well?

Got to HF and went with the Apache 2800. Keepin' it small. Should have room for my imaging specific equipment when I get it (flattener, camera angle adjuster, maybe spacer). Thanks for the help everyone!
