Dear observers,

 

here in Europe, yesterday  night we could observe the entry of Ganymed shadow. The planet stood low in the sky, 14 deg. The air was unstable. But at least I could see the event.

I used my 4 inch refractor with an adc corrector at 137x. The image is mirror reversed.

Good sketches Uwe.
Here in Spain I followed too the event. I could see a lot of cloud's detail at first but after half an hour the images was soft and blurry so I should desist.

Great sequence, Uwe.  smile.gif   14 degrees is really low--glad you had an ADC.  That really helps.

Very nice!  I love shadow transits and I really like how you captured the time progression in an aesthetically pleasing way with the overlapping disks.
