Hello,

me again. It is a rare encouter here but this weekend it has happend: two subsequent nights with clear skies. I was in vintage mood and put the 200mm Ashai Pentax Takumar on the mount. Still in vintage mode the next day I processed the result in sepia style. Hope you like it, C&C welcome!

Just picked up one of those same lenses off Ebay.  Can't wait to get it out front of my T3i.

Nice image from a "stellar" vintage lens.

scottmm: these lense have some chromatic aberration. When you focus in life view you happen to have green and blue correct but red will be blurred. To correct for that I split my color images into channels and do individual deconvolutions on each channel. If needed I shrink the stars in the red channel morphologically. With a narrowband filter the lens is fantastic. There is an adapter by TS from the actual front thread of this lens to 2'' astro filter.

Brent, Mike: thank you very much!
