Hello again all,

Here is NGC 7129 in pure RGB (no luminance frames captured).

Each color channel was about 135 minutes total, captured

in 5-minute subframes.  For posting here, this image was

down-sampled 3:1 (yielding about 1.5 arcsec/pixel) and

converted to JPEG.

Camera: ASI1600, gain 100, offset 21

OTA: 314mm Harmer-Wynne  @ f/5

Mount: Astro-Physics Mach1 GTO

Filters: AstroDon E-series RGB

Processed using AstroPixelProcessor, with minor

de-noising and conversion to JPEG using PixInsight.

Thanks stargazer, kind of you to say.

One thing I do try to do (as a preference) is to keep the processing

to a minimum.  There may be ways to make an image more

sensational, but I tend to steer away from them.  Good capture,

good calibration, minimal further alteration (sharpening, saturation,

noise reduction, etc.)  I love being surprised simply by the beauty

of the natural object in its natural setting, as with NGC 7129.
