I bought an older relative an Orion ED66 CF carbon fibre tube refractor in exchange for his half share in a TV Pronto. https://www.telescop...pe/p/118196.uts

He is delighted with its 4lbs weight and ease of handling, easy to go on a photo tripod.

I have not tried it myself, but it has a FPL51 lens 400mm F6.1 so might have less CA than the Pronto!

Seems ideal as a travel scope like my heavier but compact 66mm Equinox.

(The TS 80mm triplet carbon fibre is more expensive, but looks very nice & only weighs an extra pound. https://www.teleskop...-5--Auszug.html )

Many thanks to B26354 for the tip. I am looking for a suitable strong but lightweight tripod and mount for the little Orion now.
