Curious if thier is a way to switch the wires in the pi s to make my old 2006ish meade rs232 cable work with my cpc 1100.
I was just trying to get it to work with ascom drivers using CDC astronomy program. I got it to connext once vut it qouldnt slew the scope. I messed with the setting and cant get it to connect at all. I switched it to the ascom/celestron driver, only comm port available was comm3. After not getti g it to really connect i realized i used to use this cable for a meade lxd55 mount.

Or do I just need tonorder a celestron rs232 cable?

The pin connections are different on the RJ-22 (telephone type) end.  You would need to cut off the RJ-22 plug and crimp on a new to match the pin connection on this page of my website:

Just as easy to build one for each.

Get a couple of these of these for under a buck each.

Find a handset or modem cable and cut it into two halves. Wire each half this way.

Or wire each half to a Molex four pin plug and they can share one USB/RS-232 adapter if you want to save a buck.
