Using an atx mount. Celestron C8 lists its weight as 19lbs but the 8" edge is 14lbs... Whats the difference?

12.5lbs is the accepted weight for the bare regular C8 with a CG-5/Vixen style dovetail bar. The EdgeHD model weighs a little bit more. With the wider Losmandy D/CGE dovetail plate (instead of the CG-5/Vixen model) it weighs a little bit more, as it does with the 50mm optical finder. "A little bit" in this context is under a pound. grin.gif

 

19lbs would likely be a shipped weight (weight of the box used to ship the OTA).
