I just bought a Skywatcher EQ6R-Pro on CN and along with it came a Ioptron Versa 108. It's basically brand new (as was the mount). I've had it out once. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with it AP wise...or other. There are very few Astrobin images using this scope which might be the answer to my question. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to keep it or sell and buy one of the larger Skywatcher refractors. I'm mainly into AP but I'm really just beginning.

In addition, I have a WO GT-71 that's a great scope for my level....ASI 1600 mm and filters, Nikon D5300 modded...plus the above mount.

My images are coming along but, I have a long way to go...

Thanks in advance.

Lynn

I think it is a fast FPL51 doublet. Should be just fine for narrowband imaging. For other stuff you probably want something better corrected. Could always use it for visual. Or sell it for a triplet.

It always pays to do a search first on CN.

I agree....I did read that review before posting my question. I am just wondering if there might someone else who had one that might share an additional opinion.

Thanks...:-)
