Just drawing at straws! Shut all down and unplug the cable. Reboot your computer, restart the mount, set the hand controller, when it says ready plug in the cable, Start the Ascom driver and cross your fingers and see what happens

Just did every of these steps twice, still the same error:

Error               System.Exception: Connect to COM8 failed, no Celestron scope detected

I'm tapped out! Hopefully someone will come on and figure out the com port issue. I run Win7 Pro so I am not familiar with 10. I'll keep an eye on this thread though as I want to see what fixes it

I was looking up Win 10 com port issues and cam across this. You have to go half way down the page to the "Native" fix and read up on that it may help. I remembered seeing something about this happening with 10 after some updates.  https://www.virtual-...-on-windows-10/

I'm still thin thinking :)

There's no thing such as "USB Serial Converter" in here

I forgot about this, you may have to load this driver PL2303. You can find it here   http://www.prolific...._id=225&pcid=41

Rebooted my computer after installing the driver, it's the same device manager and it still can't detect my telescope in ASCOM.

Go to the Ascom website and see if they have an updated driver for your mount

I noticed the cable you bought was for a Meade  - are you sure the wiring is the same?

Yeah, it plugs perfectly in the hand controler, and has 4 golden thingies and my hand controller does too so i think it could be fine?

Also my telescope ran out of battery, i must buy new batteries now...

I think i bought the wrong cable, it says on amazon that it's RJ-10 and the real celestron one is RJ-11

The wiring of the plug may not be the same as celestron and that could be the problem.

I purchased a (this https://www.amazon.c.../dp/B077G37VL1/) Cable to plug my telescope and my PC together, i just received it today.

My Telescope: NexStar 127SLT

PC SPECS:

GTX 970

8GB RAM DDR4

I7 6700 3.4Ghz

Wait a second, you purchased a Meade cable to use on a Celestron? I don't think that will work. The pin configuration is different.
