So far I have been happier with 65-70 degree eyepieces than 82's... the Nagler 22T4 is an exception but it's not at the same price point.

 

I didn't see anything in your posts saying that you absolutely needed very wide angle... so I would back off a bit in terms of angle.

The Meade 5.5 UWA gets deserved high praise, and they can be had for a good price new.

Remove the bulbous cup, and you have a small, great performing eyepiece.
