Not heard anything about it, but I will be at AIC. I'll get a first hand look at whatever it is.

Great! "Something new to see at AIC"

Hey...That rhymes...

Not to change the subject,,, but who else is going to AIC to see the "secret"?

Well, i wonder if they may be serving any "Raspberry Pi(e)" in the lobby...

I have no official clue, but it has been discussed a lot, and still no product release.

Interesting.

I am going to guess MYT2. With the end of production of the Mach1, there is definitely room in the top end market for a lightweight performer with updated internals. Just keep the price the same and they should do great with it. Not to imply they only started this product development after they saw the Mach2, just that such a product would be timely.

I've been told its not a mount but there are a lot people hoping for a MyT or MX+ with an encoder option.

I sure hope this encoder craze fad passes soon - I'd hate to think the 'low end' of premium mounts will all have an 'encoder tax' on them.

I placed order with Bisque for MX+ and other items earlier in September. Seeing ‘new product’ revealed in 60-days when I just committed big $$ makes me wonder if I should call and ‘park’ the order until I see what’s up in mid-November. If it’s not a Paramount update (‘improvement’) then likely moot to me.

When I called them a few days ago, I told them I wanted to buy the MX+ and was holding off on my purchase because I was expecting them to release an updated MX+. To this, they replied that it was not going to be a mount in that class... so I would not regret ordering the MX+ once they reveal their secret product.

Never understood why a company does this.

"We have something new, but are not going to tell you!"

Just seems pointless.

Tell us and, OK, show it for the first time at a show. But not telling us seems a waste of time.

The suspense isn't killing me, it is boring the pants off me. And so doesn't work. If it is a mount then I will buy someone else's at least then I know what and when I get it.

From the information I guess whatever SB have is still in development, unfinished and so not ready for release. That fits the situation so far, and better then "Come to AIC and see out newly developed XYZ system on show for the first time.".

I'm still not convinced its a mount.  Very likely something to do with the Raspberry PI as a control pad.  If it is a mount it will be small.  Going to be interesting to see how long Bisque can go without offering encoders.  Even the EQ-8 will come with an Renshaw option starting in November.

I had called Bisque on 10/1 to discuss option/timing on purchase of a MyT and get update on my MX+ order. While on the phone I asked ‘would I have tears upon reveal of AIC product’. Got indirect comment that AIC product was not a Paramount so I could be comfortable with my MX+ purchase (and if desired, adding MyT). I felt okay to add MyT to my existing order. All my products were shipped together mid-week from Bisque.
