From left to right in the picture: ED152CF, NP127is+F50M2, ED100Sf+F50W2 and ST80.

Beautiful scopes! That 152 is very impressive, but the 127 is roughy the same size as the 100 SF. The TV seems to be the perfect balance of aperture to OTA size. Thanks for posting!

Hi Ckwastro,

You are welcome and thank you!  You are correct, they are both about the same length and considering that the NP127 uses a slim tube (only 127mm outside diameter, because of their choice of flocking instead of baffling) it’s practically the same size as many 4-inch refractors that use traditional baffling, but heavier of course!  Portability was one of the reasons why I chose the NP127is over other well respected 5-inch scopes.

Thanks Mike for taking good care of it for me   it rides well on the gibralter

I wanted to get a TV Genesis sdf for wide flat field but missed out on one last month

That’s a lovely pair of Tele Vue refractors and the pool table is a perfect setting to show their beauty and relative sizes, I’d say you found a more than adequate replacement for a Genesis sdf with an NP101, you are very modest, congratulations! laugh.gif

Thank you for sharing the very nice, helpful pictures! waytogo.gif

I so much wanted one of those black beauties in the 90’s, love.gif but unfortunately they were out of my budget just as much as the classics were beyond my reach in the 80’s!  As for the Taks next to that beautiful guitar of yours,drool5.gif I have never had the pleasure of owning one!

Your pictures greatly add the much needed variety and depth to this thread, thanks! waytogo.gif
