Hi everyone,

I’m trying to get dec balance with my altair EDR80v2 on my IOptron ieq45 pro mount and realise because of the combination of cmos with ff and the extra length I need to push my scope much further forward than I have previously to get balance.

The issue is that I cant move enough as the focus knobs clash with the saddle. Is there any way other than rotating the scope so it’s upside down in the scope rings to sort this out? Is that the correct solution?

Thanks everyone.

I've seen people use the Stellarvue Rise Blocks, attached to their dovetail plate, to raise the scope and accessories above and away from the mount saddle for the same reason you have.
