Hi Guys,

thought ide buy a cheap eyepiece (and it was cheap) camera as a first effort at videoing through my scope. Put it in the drawtube of the the scope and it magnifies extremely well..but....I noticed some "marks" that are evident on the picture. Thought it was on the front of what appeares to be an infra red filter in front of the Chip....see pic...but when you rotate the camera the marks dont seem to rotate with the picture...am I missing something here. I have plugged it into my computer and took a video through the camera but not in the scope...just held in my hand so obviously not in focus, but you can see the marks. Tried cleaning the front of the filter with lens fluid but doesnt make a difference. Not marks on my computer or telescope...Why dont the marks rotate with the camera and what could they be?

sorry cant show the video as 500kb max

Most likely dust in the cover glass of the camera.

That big one is further away though.

You can clean it or start using flat frames.

You mention:

1.  "When you rotate the camera the marks dot seem to rotate"

2.  "Why don't the marks rotate with the camera?"

Contradictory comments?  I'm confused.

DONT seem to rotate is what I meant...sorry...changed it...I think it must be on the glass cover in front of the chip ...the red bit in the pic...might dismantle the front and remove it...
