It seems one of the most deep secrets is the source for the small vent fans in the TPO/AT/Orion et al 10 " enclosed RC telescopes. They are easy to push in because they are held in by two plastic arms. I broke one of mine and all I get from Orion is the run around. I need to know if anyone has found a source for them

Thanks

It looks to me that the fans are 1.5" 12vdc fan. Check Amazon, similar to some computer fan found on some server boxes.

You probably don't want 1U server fans... they're probably pwm controlled and include a tach (4 wires), and they usually turn up to 15000 rpm and make quite a bit of noise, plus they're over an inch long.  I'd suggest looking for a 4010 DC brushless.  They're easy to be had in 12v, and pull little power (0.1 - 0.2A) and Digi and Mouser certainly would have them, but they can also be found on AllElectronics.com   12V@0.08A! And $3.75 ... And they have rubber mounts, and fan guards $1 for either https://www.allelect...ling-fan/1.html

They are probably 40mm fans being it's a Chinese made scope. You can get them in 10 and 20mm thickness. Just measure them and search Amazon, etc.

Have you removed the fan yet?  There's likely a sticker on it with a part number you can cross reference.

I finally remembered where I purchased two 18mm x 18mm x 4mm 5v dc fans to replace the Tempest fans on my EdgeHD 8. Try here:

They have fans, including micro fans, of all shapes and sizes.
