For years my astronomy club has used Yahoo Groups as a repository for club info, members pictures, discussions, and notifying members of events. For the last couple of years their service has become sketchy at best. Now the Group functions are being greatly limited, see below. I am looking for ideas of what other clubs have used to fulfill the functions I've listed. I see that Google has a Groups function and know that anyone who ever had an Android Phone or Gmail already has a Google ID. I feel a majority of the members could switch to that easily, but was wondering what other have found to be reliable.

A yahoo group I'm in is thinking of going to groups.io.  Deep Sky stacker uses this service for their needs.

I second https://groups.io/....

Yahoo will not permit uploads starting 10/21/19 and will start deleting content EOY.

Yes - groups.io.

My vintage radio club used to use yahoo - and we switched years ago to groups/io.

No problems - runs smoothly without any issues.

Another thumbs up for groups.io. My local club was on yahoo for years and made the switch almost 2 years ago. Much better service!

We use Facebook groups, a lot different than an email list but it has worked very well for us.  I have heard nothing but good things fro groups.io

My 600 member club uses a service called Wild Apricot. Meant for business, good for a large club with 400+ members. It also does membership dues and directory which helps our treasurer and the other officers manage that and other business. Flexible member forum sections to put in separate threads such as general, astrophotos, DSS, ATM, events, E-board, etc with attachments and photos. You'll have to pay for this service though. No dedicated sections to put files and photos in though. We left that imploding unmentionable group service 18 months ago.
