When I select save individual frames  the automatic save file type is PNG, but I would like to save as FITS files.  Even if I select FITS files under output,  the individual frames are still saved as PNG files. I may  be missing something simple, but is there a way to save individual files as FITS files?

Under the "File -> SharpCap -> Settings" tab there is an option for "Preferred Still Format" that you can set to FITS.  Then restart SharpCap for the setting to take effect.

Cheers

Follow up question.  If you set up your dark and flat frames for live stacking and save the raw frames as 32 bit FITS, does Sharpcap apply the darks and flats to the saved raw frames as well as using them in live stacking?

I wasn't sure, so I tested it.  Based on my test, the answer is no.  When you select to "Save individual frames" it saves the raw frames.  It did not apply the dark frame I had selected.
