I can’t seem to twist off the plug of my vortex diamondback. I don’t think it pops off. It’s stuck. Any advice?

Is it a plug that screws into a female thread between the two barrels of the binocular?

Metal or plastic? 1/4" -20 thread? Post a picture?

I called Vortex today. They told me to use needle nosed pliers if it won't twist off. If it is damaged they said they would send me a new one. Thanks!
