I have several old firewire based astrocameras.  No modern computer has firewire according to the computer techs in the big box stores I've talked to.  So should I throw these several cameras away?  They served me well some years ago with my ancient computers that had firewire capability.....  Rick.

It is a solution.  I haven't owned anything but a laptop for more than a decade.  I'm not sure I've even seen one of the old desktop type configurations on she shelves of the big box stores lately, but I wasn't consciously looking for one when I wandered through.  I mainly looked at laptops. I'm keeping all of mine in case they become collectors items some day. Plus they bring back a lot of nice memories. I even still have my USB 1.1 webcams.
