Picked up one of these older C8’s and the finderscope didn’t have batteries. Anyone know what size? CR2032 is just slightly too wide.

Here is Celestron's answer...

This is today's replacement

I have used 3 LR44's in a card stock sleeve and also various hearing aid batteries (I think 675's) stacked with electrical tape.  Much cheaper than $6.95 for one Excell battery

6.95 plus tax plus $9 shipping, I don’t need illuminated crosshairs that bad! I might try that sleeve idea.
