I have a miniguidingscope attached with a QHY5-III 178, I wanted to know if its necessary to include a 'Gain & Off-set setting to improve the image view to bring up the most faintest stars, as well as should I bin at 2x2, will this give me any sort of advantage over 1x1 bin,Also, I am setting up PHD2 and wanted to know how to calculate the Calibration steps and distances in the distance calibration parameters under advance setup.

F/Length :130mm

F4.3

QHY5:Pixel Size 2.4um

Resolution: 3.81/pix

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Charles

Use the Advanced button.

Or if you have used new-profile-wizard then you should already have done all the necessary steps.
