This target is tough for us northerners with the low altitude.  In my case its right over town, so had to keep it very black  because of light pollution gradients.  Oh well, put some lip stick on it, and push it out the door!  ASI071MC(using the stc dual band filter) with 8"reflector at f/4, on a CEM60 mount. 39x2minutes at 200 gain and binnedx2.

I think it looks pretty good, though the background may be clipped a bit.  One thing I did notice is that the stars have a rainbow color effect.  Color for the Helix looks great.  Nice job Gipht

G,
That is a great image. Your guiding, focus & color are all great. I do
think, however, that you might have clipped the dark point a bit in your
effort to avoid light pollution gradients. Go back and check where the
black point is in relation to the histogram. With some judicious processing
you should be able to get a bit more nebulosity without the gradient.
You've got great data there! I use the exact same camera, and It's a
great one.

Thanks for the helpful comments.  When I tried again,  by cropping further from of the edges, some of the gradient disappeared, so that helped.  The data is still to thin too stretch without leaving a very noisy image.  More data would  help, so I may catch some more tonight.
