Has anyone successfully added an electronic focuser to a Questar 3.5?  I want to be able to remotely image.

A couple of years ago, I contacted Questar about this.  Although there was interest, on their part, they were operating under the design constraint that any such accessory must fit in the travel case -- not a requirement for me.

Since becoming more interested in astro-photography, my Questar is not getting the use it deserves because of the inability to remotely focus it.

Thanks for your interest.

Do you need the full range or just fine tuning at infinity?

Consider an adjustable length camera coupling as the solution that if produced could be a salable accessory.

Fine-tuning at infinity is all I need.  Thanks for this question.

JMI (Jim's Mobile Ind) used to to carry a wide range of motorized focusers, and still carries a good selection. You may find something that could be adapted.

Thanks for this suggestion.  I will see what they have.
