Hi folks, finally graduated to a big boy mount and got an EQ6-R Pro so finally ready to take the plunge on guiding! I have a WO Z61, and I'm planning on getting the WO 50mm guide scope, ZWO 120 mini and ZWO ASIair so that I don't need a laptop to guide. Just trying to find out the best (and most cost effective) way to attach the guide scope to the relatively small Z61. I've been reading on the dangers of differential flexure so I'm trying to be as solid as possible. Thank you!

A set of Parallax tube rings or side by side setup with guidescope rings. I sold my Z61 but still have the tube rings....

Get one of these:

https://www.amazon.c...0?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It attaches nicely and securely to the finder bracket screws in the Z61 focuser.

Then you can mount the 50mm guide scope directly if you got the one with the small dovetail bar meant to fit into the handle-top WO scopes.

That small dovetail will slide right into the shoe above.

An OAG would save some hassle and would likely be about the same cost or perhaps cheaper.

I use the same scope and mount and also the asi120mm and zwo OAG and regularly guide around .5”
