Hi community,

I have an older MacBook Air and I'm trying to figure out how to trim an .avi file I shot of the moon rising over the Catalina Mountains here in Arizona. I'm thinking there's free S/W out there but was wondering if anyone out there has had success in trimming their .avi file? Thanks!

Hello Ed.

Try this free app, Mpeg Bitstream. It also converts many video formats.

http://www.squared5.com/

There is also a (groan) Windows version.

I have used it for several years mostly to convert the video files.
