Looking good , pretty smooth for such short integrations. Looking forward to getting mine, it will make a great companion to the 071 and give me options at smaller targets.

Did you mean postprocessing?

I was captured a time-lapse for latest IC434 release, not including the maske generation. But I think I did color calibration wrong, should do it before delinear.

It will be uploaded soon on YouTube.

I Think Chris was asking for the individual subs.

Well, thats the nicest OSC data I have played with.    It has a very nice clean noise profile, that makes the data easy to process.  I'm sold... and ordered one up.

Same here. It should make a great companion to the 071 and be exceptional with both my scopes. I think some ultra wide mosaics are in my future.

The square sensor really lends itself nicely to mosaics.  I wish more cameras had a square sensor TBH.  The scope I will be using this on has a manual rotator, and the other setup is with a camera lens.  Square is not perfect for every framing, but I generally image at 0 and 90 degrees so this would be perfect. You in texas yet?

No we could not find a good rental on a lake this year so decided to stay home for the winter. Of course every day it snows  we regret no going south.

Thanks for this post! I ordered my 533 yesterday. Will be my first astro camera! I had a hard time choosing between the 294 and this. From the framing I did in Stellarium, I found myself really liking the square sensor. I think I’d love to see a larger square sensor in the future, but believe I will have a good time with the 533.

Awesome sneak preview, these new sensors look like they will be quickly crowed king of the hill!

Personally I am waiting for the ASI2600mc, same pixels but with 26MP in APS-C format!

And I'll keep dreaming about the FF ASI6200mm but the cost of filters and scopes that can actually cover FF is out of this world! (No pun intended hahaha)

I’ve preordered the 2600...I’m right there with you!

Upgrading from a Canon 5DMKII. I can’t wait!

Looks very promising indeed. I'm torn between the Zwo and Qhy offerings. Given the dew and frosting issues with my 071 pro I'm drawn to the Qhy.

Very brave pre orderinggrin.gif

Both brands have their strengths and weaknesses.  ZWO seems to have more QC issues, but their customer support is excellent.  They also have very good drivers.   I like that the cameras take up less backfocus (sensor closer to the nose) which allows more room for accessories and you can get filters closer (less vignetting).  QHY seems to have better QC but their drivers are notoriously buggy.  I've spent many many hours trying to work through buggy drivers from QHY.  I was really close to getting a QHY 16200 but decided against it.  On balance I prefer the ZWO stuff.

I preordered one of these earlier this month with several other items. I got a shipping notice that the order shipped and is now complete. I’m assuming the camera is in the shipment. I should receive it mid next week. I’m looking forward to getting it set up.

Well, after looking at this thread, and already having an ASI183MM Pro, this new camera will probably be my next purchase.

Those files look extremely clean, and I can't believe the Amp Glow on it!

This might work very well with something like a RASA 8"

I have one on pre order as well.  Question though, are there any reviews on the duo band filter?  I have a good 2" filter but if the zwo isnt half bad I can leave it on my other camera.

Haven't tried the ZWO but the STC Duo Narrowband is pretty good, I emailed them about the FWHM bandwidth and they said:

Thanks of your interest and we will dedicate more on the development.

Each FWHM is about 10nm-12nm for 500.4nm and 656nm.

We used to have them 12nm-15nm but now our coating skill is better improved.

The ZWO doesn't look anywhere near that narrow, the Oiii looks like ~50nm!

Very interested by this topic and this new 533.

I have an ASI1600MC PRO currently working very well, but i would like to get ur advice on which cam could be ur choice, or ur advice for me, between the 294MC PRO and this new 533MC PRO ?

My scope is a Newton 200x800 f4.

I am really on the way to go on 533, but....
