Yeah, I have one called "Bubble level", which has a round level and long levels like a tool on the same screen.

And it tells you the tilt in tenths of a degree.

Once you get it right if you want to set up again in the same place if you can drive some 1-2"×6" pieces of pvc pipe into the ground for your tripod to sit in.,good luck.,

If you own the property, you *could have an arborist selectively prune the tree to allow a window to Polaris.

the process is essentially the same. However, we are assuming an EQUATORIAL fork mounted scope. That is, one on some kind of wedge. You do not need polar alignment on an ALT-Az mount.

 

On a wedge mounted fork mount, you move the wedge angle up and down, and the azimuth of the whole wedge east or west. There are adjusters built in for that purpose.

Doesn't matter if it a German Equatorial or Fork mount on a wedge.
