I got just a little over an hour in the sun before the wind and clouds arrived. I was getting some vertical lines (noise) in the AVI so I think it's time to get a new cable. All of the close ups I took of the proms got ruined by that but the animation had enough frames without that vertical noise to come out OK.

I hear ya... I actually enjoy high res white light more when it's like this than the chromosphere when there's nothing going on, barely a prom or filament. My fascination in the chromosphere is usually the incredibly big proms and the plages around spots when they're furiously generating filaments and mottling.

Very best,

I took a quick peek today and besides a couple of very small filaments there was basically one small prom to view!
