Ic 410 in Auriga is an emission nebula with an open star cluster (ngc 1893) embedded. Nebula Magnitude:10 ; open star cluster magnitude:7.50 Using the Lumicon OIII filter the nebula is fairly bright, but the cluster is almost extinguished. There is a dark roundish central area. I used a 31mm Nagler at 51x magnification with my 14.5 Starstructure Dob f/4.3

That's nice, Raul. I had to look it up, and it looks like you caught most of it. Pretty detailed, too. Mottling looks apparent in images, I'd imagine it can be detected visually, too.

Nice!

Took me few attempts to actually see it (or realize I see it). Your sketch is wonderful. Makes me want to go back to it on my next session

Great sketch! Do you need an OIII filter in order to see this, or is it possible without the filter? Keep up the great work.

Hi Mike,  It is possible to see ic 410 without a filter,  depending on transparency and how dark your sky is, the OIII filter just gives it more contrast between the sky and the nebula making it more visible than without.
