Here is another carbon star I observed on 24th December 2019.

NQ Cassiopeiae I would currently describe as a rich deep orange star.

That in my judgement makes it a superb carbon star.

I used magnifications 40X, 112X, 140X and 167X.

Its magnitude varies from +9.2 down to 11.5.

On Christmas Eve I estimated it at 9.5.

And I have quoted that mag on www.aavso.org

It's my 77th observed carbon star since December 2001.

Check it out as a Christmas gift for yourselves!

Kind regards from Aubrey.
