As a freshman in the astronomy field I was not familiar with the man or his machines, but reading through this thread I can tell he was a master machinist. His lifes work will live on, as will the memories he left.
My condolences to family, friend, and all that knew him.
His work appears first class. The size of some of these rigs is amazing. Is there a website or similar detailing any of this?
