Hy-Score in Hiwassee, VA. $100 on FB Marketplace. Only one photo but description says 1930 and supposedly full kit. Looks to be a short tube possibly 50mm with alt-az fork and work tripod.

1930?  It looks newer than that.

1960.  She's 30 years too early.

Rebranded RAO T-6C.  Very nice scope and an equally nice little mount.  Screw type altitude and geared azimuth adjusters.  You don't see many of these.  I'd pick it up if I didn't already have one.

I like the looks of that small scope. Clean and lean.

The SPI, I believe was posted before, but it was quite a while ago.  I guess it didn't sell then, and it may n . . .

Back in October, I asked for a photo of the objective.  The seller did respond and sent me a picture.  The objective is dusty, but I did not see any clams.  I made an offer of around $450 back then, but it was declined.

If you were looking at the SPI on Offer Up you might have seen these:

Old 60mm Towa from the 50s with a cool engraved logo.

Used and abused Sky Chief OTA

https://offerup.com/...tail/816291584/

If I didin't hate navigating LA trafffic so much I might be tempted to go take a look at both,

but for now, I don't realy want to deal with more scopes anyway!

Saw a white tubed bushnell sky chief at the swap meet today,  it the lens had a fracture/clam internally that must amount to 1/3 of the aperture area. I didn’t even ask how much.

I've only seen one other Old TOWA with that logo.  Gotta be pre-1960; and, with that Asahi-style focuser, an excellent lens -- if undamaged.

A Steal at just $50.

Somebody parting out a Mayflower 816 mount:

This is from the 76mm RAO version, so the solar screen would be compatible with the Tasco 10TE and similar tubes. The counterweight, slow motion controls, and spreader would match various ATCO, Selsi, and Monlux mounts.
