Picking up a new WO GT102 tomorrow...little brother to the GT153 already on board.

I wanted a smaller refractor for travel to a nearby (40 mins drive) dark site (Bortle 1-2) as the GT153 is a bit of a beast to move and I don't have a portable mount solid enough to carry it for AP use.  The GT153 sits on a AP900 mount in the home observatory.

The GT102 allows me to use the pair of WO flatteners and reducers that I got for the GT153 and cost me a small fortune tongue2.gif.

So good to go!

Got my big telescopes for the immediate future.

Now looking/hoping a nice used 3 to 4 inch 700mm or less refractor falls in my lap at a decent price for my "weeknight grab-n-go to the backyard or lake scope". Need something on a manual alt/az or panhead mount, maybe a homemade pipe or fork mount, so I can be free and easy.

Thought about an 8" dob. Which would've been fine for the weeknight backyard, but too much for tossin in the car for a quick ride to the lake. So a small refractor is the plan.

Here's the recently acquired C6R...and the old Nexstar 8 that I bought while impatiently waiting for the yard cannon.
