Since Tempest fans are not available for the C9.25HD, is there an alternative maker for a similar product? I find it quite disturbing they make a fan for every SCT except the 9.25. What’s that all about?!?!

Thanks.

Ciao,

Mel

"Because of production problems, the C9.25HD TEMPest are currently unavailable", says the website. Sounds like there is a legitimate reason for unavailability. Have you asked directly from DSP if they can tell whether there's hope that the situation improves in the future? Ed Thomas is quite responsive, if you contact him.

Yeah I asked them about it but what I got was basically not going to be available anytime soon. Here is what he said in July 2019:

”I’m not sure when I am going to have them available again.  I will try to let you know when I do.  As far as I know, there are not alternatives.”

I don’t see the reason why the C9.25 is the only one without when all the other ones have them. Is there something about the C9.25HD that is drastically different from the others? It’s been this way for quite some time. Feels like there is something else about this story besides “manufacturing problems”. If it were just manufacturing/supply issues, these “problems” could have been worked out by now if there was a desire to do it.

Either way, if there is another vendor solution I would greatly appreciate the feedback. A DIY solution is probably in order for this one!

Thanks for sharing.

Forget the fans!  Wrap it in insulation (Reflectix preferred).  Take it out and use it immediately,  with perfect views.

Do yourself a favor and Search CN Fora (forums) for "Insulation ",

Yes I’m well aware of the “fans vs insulation” debate! Not interested in rehashing it here. Please I’m only interested in feedback pertaining to available fan solutions.

I’m going to try a mod with a fan I already have first. I’ll keep this option in mind. Thanks for sharing.

You list fans for C8 and C11/C14, but what size fan fit the C9.25?

Got mine and installed them.  I like them very much.  Slightly different approach than the TempEst fans in that these are mounted on the outside but, they blow much more air and are quieter.  Oh and cost a LOT less than the TempEst ones.

Great work Iaixiaolue.  Thank you!!

C9.25 uses 40mm fans.

Yes. I still have about 10 40mm fans left, so I can build 5 pairs.
