Still thinking about taking the plunge with the RASA 8 (just a matter of time). It got me thinking about whether the 8 is the smallest feasible size, given the size of cameras etc.

 

What would be the advantages to imagers of a 6 or 4 inch if it were possible?

At focals between 200 and 300mm there are already good, fast options; beside, you would be limited to really small cameras, and possibly even smaller sensors.
IMHO the whole point of these "improved" Schmidt cameras should be to provide fast options at mid-long focals
