Not a typical winter here,  with lots of cloudy nights.  Last night was a beauty, however.  This picture had  about 110 minutes of integration 75% of which was 30 second and 25% at 15  second exposures.  The moon was up at 9:10PM, so a fairly short session.  The camera used is an ASI071MC-Pro at 200 gain, using a 8" f/4 reflector, on a CEM-60 mount, guided.  Stacked in DSS. and processed in Star Tools and Gimp.

Looking at my past attempts my critique was the skies were too black, and  the color was oversaturated and sometimes unusual.  The human pendulum may have swung too far the other way for this one.  I do think less color did make for better detail.

Wow! Gipth,  this is really well done! You have pulled out alot of details and Nebulosity.  And I really like the colors! You didn't over saturate, which is so easy to do. Excellent job!

I'll bet M-42 is pretty amazing just to look at through an 8-inch at f/4.  Especially in Arizona skies.  Great outcome, thanks for sharing!
