Being new to this site, could anyone tell me why a line appears through the middle of any text I write in a reply to a post. It does not look like it happens anywhere else ?

Welcome!

Did you accidentally hit the strikethough button in the toolbar with your cursor?

Is your browser or your keystrokes somehow inadvertently selecting the "Strike Through" editor option perchance, which would cause it to look like this?

Believe me, there's _a lot_ of ignorance to go around.

I don't see any real use for the feature.  Would that they got rid of it.

You are right, I didn’t see any reason for it either but what do I know.

Believe it or not, I recently used Strike Through to edit an earlier post I had recently made and strike through and update the incorrect information.  That is about the only time I have ever used it, and to explain the issue for this OP :)

Glad your issue was resolved.  Clear skies!
