I thought I had posted this question a week ago but can't seem to find it so it may not have stuck OR I may have placed in the wrong discussion group. For that, I apologize.

So, the question is:

I have purchased a 120mm refactor (Newstar/Synta I expect) and it is on a fairly sturdy mount. I would like to add a R.A motor but am not certain which brand-type I should be looking into. Picture of mount, motor mounting area attached.

I currently have the 120 mounted on an Ioptron cube (a bit beyond the Cube's limit but does work) and would like to remount on the EQ with a RA motor for some tracking and camera work.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance and happy viewing.

And if you are relatively local and have an appropriate motor, let me know.

I recommend that you post a wanted ad in the CN Classifieds.

The mount you have is a Sky-watcher EQ5.  I have the same mount with my 120mm f/8.3 refractor.

Google: Skywatcher R.A. Motor Drive For EQ5 Mount.

It also looks like Orion's SkyView pro mount. You might ask them if their True track drive will work.

Thank you for you help. I had no idea what to ask for which is why I did not post in the wanted section. I will do so now as the request won't be so ambiguous.

Have any of you used the Simple Dream EQ5 unit I see advertised in Cloudynights?
