I think you can contact QHYCCD technicians by email (cha@qhyccd.com) and let them provide help remotely,

I wonder whether it is somehow temperature dependent—ambient temperature, that is.  It’s the only thing I can think of that is different between a light frame and a dark. You are probably taking darks indoors at room temperature, but lights are outside in the cold. Could the camera or the computer be having communication issues when it gets cold?  Or even the cable?  Since you have already bought a new computer, I would try a new cable just because cables sometimes cause intermittent issues like this.  I would also contact QHY.

What's your ambient temperature? I think the outdoor temperature has little effect because the freezing camera has a strong adaptability to the ambient temperature. As for the cable, I think there will be many situations that affect the stability of the camera. The length of the cable should not be too long. Otherwise, an extension cable with an external power supply needs to be added.

Understand, I need to find the cause of the problem remotely. Can you tell me your email address or contact cha@qhyccd.com?

In this case usb hub was guilty.
