Thanks to the good advice on this forum I found that these two products are in fact compatable so I went ahead and bought a new Starsence to go with my Astrofi 125.

After connecting things together the Starsense hand controller said it was unable to proceed as the telescope model was not found.

The firmware build for the controller was dated 2016. I think the latest build is 2019 so would it be a simple case of just up dating the controllers firmware?

Any thoughts would be very welcome.

Hi biggles,

Since your StarSense HC predates the existence of the Astro Fi mount you should absolutely update the StarSense.

Enjoy the StarSense.

Clear Skies,

Garry
