Don't know if there is an IOS version, but I've used the free version of Mobile Observatory for Android...

I have "Night Sky" on my Iphone

Stellarium is free.  A pain to set your location but even I managed without running to the wife

Stellarium is great on a pad or notebook.

Sky Safari free is probably a big enough database for your event!

Sky Safari  -  The kids will love this one.

SkyView Lite -  Shows you the name of a star or planet when you point to it.  NICE
