UPDATE - 1/21/20 2:39 PM MST -- Upon learning of the issue Astronomics immediately dispatched a replacement scope via FedEx with a return label for the defective scope -- Mike and Pete and Royce - you guys ROCK!!!! And Kudos to Ken in shipping for making it all come together!!!
After months of waiting I finally received my AT115EDT today. Boy was I excited when I saw the FedEx guy in the driveway!
I took pics of every step of the unboxing thinking I would post them here.
Then the show came to a hard stop!
There is an issue with the focuser but more disturbing is the attached photo showing a baffle defect and two very distinct and dusty fingerprints inside the OTA! Fortunately they are not on the glass but still --- **** --- ???
So does anyone think this is trivial and I should ignore it? Or does the scope go back to our CN sponsor?
