Clouds cleared off this morning and seeing wasn't too bad, although when I first started imaging I could see heat waves shimmering off the roof of my neighbor where the sun was. I waited a bit to let the sun rise a bit more and things improved a bit. I am wondering if what we are actually observing here is the edge on view of a hedgerow prom that fades off behind the disk. It is fairly quiescent although I believe I detect a bit of rotation particularly near the base of the prom. It was nice to get back out despite the chilly (20's) temps! Including a still shot that I did a bit more processing on to bring out additional details.
