Bright prom animation 1/21/2020

Clouds cleared off this morning and seeing wasn't too bad, although when I first started imaging I could see heat waves shimmering off the roof of my neighbor where the sun was.  I waited a bit to let the sun rise a bit more and things improved a bit.  I am wondering if what we are actually observing here is the edge on view of a hedgerow prom that fades off behind the disk.  It is fairly quiescent although I believe I detect a bit of rotation particularly near the base of the prom.  It was nice to get back out despite the chilly (20's) temps!  Including a still shot that I did a bit more processing on to bring out additional details.

It was really nice visually as well, very bright!

 

So cool.  Just imagine how huge that prom is !!

I should have put the Earth beside it, I’ll try to do that tonight.
