the hidden galaxy IC342 was one of my favorite targets on my wish list. Now i was able to spend about 9.4 hours collecting data on january 20th. and 21th.
This galaxy is one of our neighbor galaxies and about 2/3 size of the moon in the sky. And after looking on the first frames... Yes, it is really big!
But cosmic dust within our milky way avoids the light to pass through.
I have tried to capture the luminance channel with an IR passfilter instead of a normal L2 filter. The signal was stronger there, then in RGB.

Thanks for looking and clear skies.
