I just bought an older FC-100 and I will need rings and a Vixen dovetail. I’d also like a handle across the top of the rings. I see that the newer 4” Tak scopes take 95mm rings. Is it the same for this older one? Would any of the Vixen rings work?

Thanks

I know I can get the PrimaLuce rings but I’m looking for less pricey but very solid alternatives.

Just a little follow-up.  Years ago, there was an ad for 114mm light-weight Tak tube rings for the TS102 and FC-100.  So is 114mm the correct size?  I have a WO ZS110 with WO rings.  I'm assuming those would be too big, yes?

The FC-100 uses 114mm rings - same as the FS-102 and FSQ 106.

Cheers,

Ron

Vixen makes rings in various sizes including 115mm I've seen many photos of Takahashi FS102s using Vixen rings and you can of course get the refractor handle or the accessory plate which also works very nicely as a handle. Beware though the top tapped holes (6mm) for attaching accessories are not very deep and are tapped all the way through. If you use a bolt that is to long you will scar the paint or possibly dent the tube. The handle and accessory plate come with proper screws.

Thanks. I just ordered the Vixen rings, handle and dovetail plate.
